Sleep well…..

Sleep well my sweet angel,
turn out the light,
I wish I could be there,
lying with you here tonight.

Sleep well my sweet angel,
for I know in my heart,
that I am always with you,
we’re never apart.

Sleep well my sweet angel,
and know that I care,
I will never leave you,
I’ll always be there.

Sleep well my sweet angel,
the one who makes me always smile,
as you lie in bed awake,
will you think of me awhile.

Sleep well my sweet angel,
in your dreams I will be,
we’ll dance in a field of flowers,
until you wake and think of me.

Sleep well my sweet angel,
turn out the light,
I will soon be there,
lying with you another night…xxx

I have written this poem especially for Steph, what you may already know of course! After I finished this poem I really wanted to share with everyone so everyone could read it and hopefully liked it just as much as Steph liked it…

  4. Another poem Wendy wrote and I Love!:

Such as the stars could not eclipse,
the brilliant light in dreams of you,
that wakes the morning to your warm lips,
soft as the dawn and sweet as the dew.

And though the air is cool with mist,
my heart’s a flame like a tender burn,
a fire quenched when gently kissed,
only from lips of which I yearn.

To kiss the night softly away,
to warm my soul as you retrace,
the dreams that light the break of day,
    so beautiful in your embrace.

Awaken love and feel the rush,
of my heartbeat rising for you,
as our lips meet in a warm brush,
soft as the dawn and sweet as the dew…xxx
