Newcomer, AP or VIP?

imvu noobs new peopleAlthough I haven’t been on IMVU that long yet, I definitely learned a lot and know a little about dealing with people and would like to share a little. I started as a novice (noob), and like we all did, looked pretty much the same. We start to buy some clothes and things try to improve and adjust our looks and learn how to dress our selves. Then the scary part begins.

We get conversations coming at us, with acronyms we don’t understand, and you’re trying to make friends and meet people but it’s often more than a little overwhelming. Some people are trying to talk you into bed and others will be upset at your friend request or your looks or just about anything. There are certainly some nice people but things just go so fast I can hardly count the relationships I had after two weeks.

Luckily after a month and a half I decided to buy an AP membership. AP rooms are better and there seems to be more opportunities. There are so many sexy clothes and attractive people. The invitations still keep coming but you’re actually not plagued as much by real novices who are only looking for totally meaningless sex.

A few days ago just for fun, I looked again in a non AP room. When I entered there weren’t any AP members and only guests present. All 8 of the avi’s were laying on top of each other when I entered and their conversation was nothing but “ooohh, aaahh’s, mmm, and I love you and do you like it etc.” It was almost pathetic in a sense. I understand wanting sex but I feel bad for the sex hoppers that only see imvu on that level.

I’m also glad that I got my AP membership, and very grateful for such great friends. It’s not that I couldn’t meet them as a noob but I sometimes I wonder if I would have survived the start of my IMVU life without them. Be yourself and let your heart speak. I like to thank my dear friends and I never want to miss them…kisses xxx Wendy.

Wendy VIP to me is not a big deal to me. you will be charged 9.99 every month for 10k credits. You do get discounts on every purchase tho. You can save those 9.99 and buy double the creds from DevCreds or someone. I am VIP because I never cancelled mine and it has a great feature when u are in the club. People can’t fight you! LOL

I always encourage people to get AP if they are adults because you miss a lot without. To me if I had to choose between AP and VIP I would go AP all the way. Because you pay one time and that is it.

  3. very nice advice wendy.

one tip about AP is to wait for the sale. when you get 20,000 credits for free with it. and even better, when its 30% off. Then for like $12 you get AP and 20,000 credits.

  4. I was talking about this in a room and Dave DreamMan had a good comment, that AP doesn’t just mean Adult, it usually means more Mature Adult. And it definitely means more serious and experienced here too. VIP is worth it to me, but no where near as critical. Same with removing the guest tag too.

  5. oh, for those who haven’t seen, double credit weekend is here until Monday, for free credit awards. these are always worth checking. usually there are many free partner offers and these are the best times to take advantage. Last time I got 160,000 from applying for a Discover card.. Earlier, I’ve gotten 50,000 or so for each free credit report. Or trying various music services. Of course all of these services expect you to buy something but you don’t have to. They will make it a pain to cancel, and you’ll have to talk to some operator in India probably, but it’ll just take 5 minutes. Totally worth it. Unfortunately, you have to be in the US for most of them.
